Hi,
I have my macbook pro hooked up to a projector through an HDMI switch. The HDMI switch also has a blu ray player hooked up to it. When I switch to the Blu-Ray, it comes on perfectly at 1080p. When I switch back to the macbook pro (late 2008), the blue screen comes on, and then the desktop comes up.
It's not useful for what I'm using it for. A blue screen is not acceptable. Any way to change this? Would it benefit me to get a Windows PC to do the job? Changing this on the projector is not possible, because this is a theatre show and the projector is inaccessible.
I figured out a bit of a workaround. I unplug the mini display port, and plug it back in again when I need it. It doesn't show a blue screen, but it does show some screen noise. Not great. Tried an older (not unibody) macbook pro. No better. Any other suggestions?
