OS X Mac screen turning off on Metro Last Light

When playing Metro on the MacBook Pro 15" 2017, the integrated screen is turned off and only displays on the external monitor.

Does the system do this to transfer all memory from the GPU to the external screen? Other games like Rise of the tomb raider don't run.

I have the same issue on my MacBook Pro 13" 2017. The problem began this week and its getting worse, the display disappear from system settings.
