I rebooted after applying the security update.

Reason suddenly asked for my login password as if it wasn't authorised anymore.

I have the most up to date Authoriser so it's not a Reason issue, it's because of the security update.

I had to go into my account, mark my Mac as "lost" because the Reason authoriser insisted I was using a different Mac, then re-authorise my Mac and all the Rack Extensions I have for Reason.

I have never in years of using Reason either stand alone or Rewired into Pro Tools had any issues with authorisation/licencing after updating hardware. I only upgraded my RAM from 16 to 64GB and added another 960GB SSD for extra storage in the past month with no issues at all.

I just thought it might be useful info for people.

No such problems here, using Reason 11 Suite and Mac OS 10.14.6

Are you sure it didn't happen after you added the new HD? It is important to de-authorise Reason before exchanging HD's as authorisation info isn't included in backups. Hence simply restoring a backup onto a new HD would cause exactly that issue.
If not that, then I don't know what would have caused it, but i'd say the security update is unlikely..
