I have been slowly becomming an Apple fanboy with Nanos and iMacs and finally hit a snag when I replaced my Linksys G router with an Airport Extreme.

I improved my performance with 1Gb and 802.11n, but now the PCs (Win XP pro, and Win2x pro) and the NAS (linux readynas) are invisible to each other. (eg typing in \\computerName or using windows view network do not work) The iMac sees everything and all is good. For the PCs, everything is accessible if I use the actual IP address but all attempts to find the names of the devices fails. Nothing else has changed except the router and all devices could see each other before.

Other background:
- my office used workgroup name HSL, so I changed my home network so that all are workgroup HSL.
- tools like readynas frontview can find the NAS from a PC and my logitec slimbox audio player find the slimserver on the NAS ok.

I suspect this has to do with DNS on the local network, but both PCs and the NAS are set to obtain IP automatically and obtain DNS automatically.

Any ideas
