Mac Server upgraded to Yosemite, problems searching on Snow Leopard

Our Mac Mini server was upgraded to Yosemite in order to accommodate a download of CrashPlan. Our two workstations are currently on Snow Leopard. After upgrading the server, we are having issues with searching for files. Some of them are found and some aren't. Has anybody had a problem with this?
