Hi all,

I have an 9TB NAS, currently with around 6TB of data. I want to backup/clone the data using a firewire SATA dock to a collection of 2TB hard disks.

Does anyone know of a mac backup app which allows NAS backup and disk spanning?

Thanks,

Aljrob

Hmmm, Chronosync - I've heard of that before. Can it cope with spanning across disks which are smaller than the NAS itself?

Don't know about spanning capability...my old NAS is old (a Thecus N2100) and only has 320GB in RAID1...I have a 1TB external which hold 3 backups. My new NAS (a Synology DS211) is smart enough to be able to back itself up to a direct-connected USB drive so it doesn't need the Mac as a "pass-through" so I don't use Chronosync for it.
