Hello Everyone,

I am looking for a software that can help me back up my mac os x server. I have a site to site VPN between 2 locations. I want to do offsite backup from location 1 to the 2nd location. I'd like to know if there is any software that i can use to write my backup to the 2nd location over my VPN. I don't want to use anything like dropbox, backblaze or mozy.

Thanks

Time Machine? You have to mount the remote volumes locally (dunno if there's an easy way to automate this) but I believe it would work over a VPN.

I use CrashPlan to backup remotely to my iMac at home from my laptop. I don't use a VPN, but it should work just fine that way too. It's free for that purpose, although they do also offer a Mozy/Carbonite-like online backup. If you don't subscribe to that service, however, it's all free and doesn't require registration.

Great. I read about it now and it looks good. I am going to try it out and see if it works.

Any other ideas?
