Mac solution for 5.1 surround speakers with 3x 3.5 mini-jacks?

I have a Cambridge Soundworks surround sound speaker set up in my study that works with my old Mac Pro via the M-Audio sound card which accepts the 3x 3.5 mini jack inputs. I am going to replace the Mac Pro with a new MBP which doesn't have the same inputs.

My question is - can I find a way to adapt the 3x 3.5 mini-jacks to work with the laptop without losing the surround sound? I don't want to spend money on something I've effectively already got.

If there is no solution, do you have a recommendation for a good replacement? I've been thinking about these: M-Audio Studiophile AV30 Desktop Speakers (http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TT907B/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY). It's not surround but it's a lot less cabling.

I have just found out a bit more:

Soundblaster XFI 5.1 looks lovely but apparently you can't control the volume on the device itself. I was also wondering if the remote control also has no effect.

I found this one, which looks a lot less exciting:

I've tried looking for the Griffin Firewave, but doesn't seem available in the UK nor on ebay, apart from Australia.

Any help out there on this one? Anybody plugged their MBP into a surround sound kit?
