Mac Speakers and Video Problem

Sometimes on my macbook pro last gen my internal speaks became really weird and messed up. This almost always happens when I'm watching a video and it also starts acting weird. First the video freezes and repeats in random rapid times and the sound too. Eventually the sound becomes permanently messed up and doesn't work until I wait 5-10 mins or go into sleep: same with videos, which freeze only online. Why, and how do I fix it?
