Hi everyone,
I had a dual boot with Win Xp, but all of a sudden holding the option but it would not work, then i held both option keys then it did. But the problem doesnt end there, now after deleting the Win xp partition and setting my Mac Os X partition as primary startup device, it keeps coming to the screen to choose my OS but there is only the Mac partition to choose from. Is there any way to remove this. Any thanks would be help ful this is my third replacement mac, i dont want a fourth.

Once you go into OS X, go into your System Preferences, choose "Startup Disk" then choose your OS X partition. It should be fine rebooting from then on if I understand your issue correctly.

I did that and locked the preferences, but it still does it so i really do not know but thanks
