Mac stopped printing

I have an Intel Duo Core 2 iMac and a Canon iP4300 printer, hooked up through USB. All was working well until a few days ago, when suddenly, whenever I try and print, I get an error message. All it says is "Error while printing.". I tried reinstalling the printer but it doesn't work. When I boot into Boot Camp and print from XP, everything is fine, so it's not the printer. Any ideas? I'm running 10.4.8.

Yeah, and repaired permissions as well.

Just for clarification, I can install the printer and print to it, but when I try and print, it goes to a progress bar then pops up an error message that says Error While Printing.
