Hello, this is a very bothersome problem, I have researched on the inter webs, however nothing really covers my specific example. OK the gf had downloaded an update for her iMac, I'm assuming it was 10.15.4

I had a look and it looks like the update was downloaded ok but during the install, when it got to about 95% done, it shuts off and starts agains from near the same point. To add another layer of difficulty, her Apple wireless keyboard conked out a few days before and she is using a $10 bluetooth keyboard temporarily. I don't know it it is working with the mac in this loop. I tried a Safe Boot, but it didn't seem to register, it just begins where it left off then it shuts off before it's finished.

There were no warning messages before the install, there seems to be plenty of HD space, and there's been no warning messages since.

Any clues on this one. I was thinking of bringing it over to my place and seeing if I could start it up with the Cmd+R key, but because it keeps picking up where it left off I'm not sure that is gonna work.
