Mac starts up and then a blue screen appears and nothing else happens....

What should i do to fix it?

After waiting 10 minutes the safeboot login comes up I put in my correct password but then it takes me back to the login again.

Hello.

A more descriptive thread title would surely get you more attention.
This is a Mac forum, and Mac problems are what we are here for.

What Mac and what Mac OS X version are you running?
Do you still have the restore DVDs or an Upgrade DVD with you, which you could use to troubleshoot and maybe repair permissions with?

The restore DVDs are gray, number one has the OS on it, number two has additional applications on it.
The Upgrade DVD is white with a Snow Leopard on it.

If you have the restore DVDs use DVD on to boot from while holding C during startup and then use Disk Utility from the Utilities Menu to repair permissions.
