This might be a bit tricky to explain but I'll give it a go...
I recently upgraded my old 27" iMac (mid-2010) to a Mac Studio with a Dell 32" UltraSharp but I can't seem to get the resolution how I'm use to it when working with graphics. Note: I was using a temporary 27" iMac (mid-2015) model for a month before getting my new setup and I didn't notice this following issues, despite the different monitor resolutions between the two iMacs.
Normally for website graphics I would save them at 72dpi but I've noticed that when I view these files in Photoshop they appear smaller than I remember them looking and when I view them at actual size in Preview they appear slightly pixelated. If I set the image to 144dpi they look the correct size in Photoshop and not pixelated when viewed at actual size in Preview but if I upload them to a chat group they appear too big.
I'm trying to work out what is the correct dpi I should be working in at my end to make sure they are displaying correctly when sent to someone else, rather than being too big or pixelated.
I'm also not sure if I have my Dell set correctly - when I first connected it and turned on my Mac Studio everything was tiny. The only way to get is back to a size I was more use to I had to change the Displays setting to 2560 x 1440... but this might be having an affect on what I've mentioned about.
Maybe I've been spoilt with having iMacs for me past few Macs, where I haven't had to worry about the display setting or Dell/Mac issues?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
