Hey all,

I have a quite pumped M1 Ultra with 128GB ram 4TB Storage, but booting into Sonoma (was the same for Ventura before the update), is very slow. Takes about 2 minutes to load all items in the status bar.

2 minutes is not definitely right, since my MacBook M1 Max, have almost the same apps but boots instantly, so I have concerns that something might wrong in the Studio.

This setup was done using the migration wizard from a previous build.

What I tried:
- Went through the startup list
- Went through the daemons loaded
- kexts that might be loaded

Nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I am wondering if there anything I can do to troubleshoot the issue, or log the boot times for each of the loaded applications.
This setup is hard to do from scratch, and I prefer to troubleshoot it.

Thanks!

Create a new user account and see if the same performance issue persists. If not, you will know it’s most likely related to third-party software installed with the original user account. If the issue persists, start uninstalling third-party software one-by-one until you identify the culprit.
