I already have the Apple Studio Display (for pro photography editing) but thinking of adding an extra monitor dedicated to running Logic. (Giving up on using my 16" M1 MacBook Pro for this...the configuration is loo low end and causing issues).

I don't need the killer ASD resolution/quality for this - but am wondering how low grade can I go before it just started to look bad - or not be in the correct scale? (1920x1080?) If I did an HDMI monitor - can it still be isolated to just the desktop running Logic? I probably only need 24" for this too - so any recommendations? Will most any generic monitor do?

Thanks!

I don't have a separate display for Logic Pro but have a 27" LG 4K that I use for it. My main complaint is the Logic Pro interface itself…I don't like the contrast of the text on the channel strip. Not always easy for me to see.

I think I improved things using BetterDisplay (paid version) to lower my resolution a bit and also adjust color levels.

Anyway, a 4K display is probably the minimum.
