In the UK you'll pay £40 more for black, seems cynical to me, but it's Apple, getting nickel and dimed comes with the territory.

What do you think matches the Studio better, white or black keys and pad?

(Grudgingly ordered both in black myself)

Added a third option for practical people!

The black keys are purposely matching the Studio Display, so if you want the best color-matching, the black accessories will be the best option. Are these black accessories worth the extra money over the white ones, that's an other story

Just realised the magic keyboard has no backlight. Bummer! I do some late nights and the MX Keys backlight actually comes in pretty handy. Same as my MBP - also has a backlight.

My cheapo work supplied Dell keyboard has no backlight and my accuracy is way worse on that!

I've been using the white keyboards for so long that I forget.
Do black keys do better with looking clean? My white keys get pretty grungy looking.

I’ve been saving for a while in anticipation of creating an entirely new setup so the new peripherals was an instant purchase. I really like the black and silver look even more than the all space grey version, I just ish it came without a number pad.

I’ve always really liked the feel of Apple’s keyboards, though my favorite iteration was the old magic keyboard that took AA batteries. Those keys had a bit more depth.

Anyone know the cable length for the Apple Magic Keyboard WITH Touch ID key?

I like to leave my older Magic Keyboard always plugged in to avoid any bluetooth problems.

Sticking with my Logi MX gear here. My old Apple peripherals were AA powered so I assume they are better now, but I still feel like punishing Apple for the awful Magic Mouse that kept losing battery contact and the backlight/tenkeyless keyboard. I love the Logi stuff way more though I do miss gestures on the MM.

Are you saying there is a black option for the Apple Studio or just the peripherals?

staying with my Razer huntsman!
I would love to hav the Touch ID, but I had the kybd without and not having the lighted keyboard in a darker room is problematic.

From the photos, I don't think I like Apple's new "pro" black + silver color combo. It's too high-contrast, seems a bit hokey like a 10 year old Dell. Just scored a good deal on space gray Magic Keyboard and Trackpad, already had the space gray Magic Mouse.

I also ordered the Satechi X3 keyboard in space gray.

Coming from the last gen wired Apple keyboards (silver/white) I think the newer Magic Keyboard feels a little bit crisper, and the Satechi feels a little bit mushier. After a few hours using both I think I prefer the feel of the Magic Keyboard, although I could probably get used to either. I think I feel slightly more accurate typing on Magic Keyboard, and the keys are slightly smaller and closer together than the Satechi which turns out to be better for my small hands. But the Magic Keyboard lacks the backlight and the multi-device features of the Satechi, so I'm still debating...

Also neither "space gray" color matches my 2019 15" Macbook Pro "space gray" color, the Satechi X3 is a shade darker and the Magic Keyboard is significantly darker, it's more like "light black".

Also the Satechi key labels are in a higher contrast, bolder typeface, while the Magic keyboard has thinner letters with less contrast, a bit more of a "stealth" look. I think I like the stealthy look better, but if you're looking for high-vis then the Satechi would be the winner.
