I have 2 mac studios. My Documents folder is on the iCloud (icon status: folder is only on icloud). On my main mac studio, a named Folder A exists (icon status: folder or file is up to date between your Mac and iCloud and you can view or edit it immediately, with or without an internet connection).

I Added Folder B and a file under Folder A. On the other mac studio, the new folder or file is not there.

Also the Desktop is also on iCloud. The 2nd mac studio does not sync either. I see less files on the 2nd mac studio desktop

What am i missing why not syncing?

I'm having a similar issue with Documents and Desktop not syncing to iCloud. The Button won't stay when I slide it. I'm surprised no one has commented on your sync issue. Sorry I don't have an answer for you, though please know you are not alone with sync issue.

If there is a lot of files in B, it takes a fair amount of time to upload to iCloud (even if you have very fast broadband). Have you given it enough time? In general, it seems SLOW, so you have to leave the "sending" computer on and awake to transfer the files. Many people, put something in iCloud and then close/sleep the "sending" computer as soon as it appears to be there.

#2 makes me think "bug" though... but I share the above just in case. Many people expect near instantaneous because they see files or folders there on one Mac.

You might try checking the files app on an iDevice to see if it "sees" B too. If it doesn't as well, I'd think about what I shared in paragraph 1 and see if perhaps that could be the cause.
