Hi everyone!
I've always used my iMac without any problem on my router-managed local network, effortlessly accessing my Windows PC's shared folders and my Synology NAS.
Working on the NAS via SMB was actually slower from the Mac if compared to the PC, but it was acceptable and moving files from Mac to PC was very fast. Until today, that is.
I didn't touch or change anything, but now I can only copy or move very small files. If I try moving big files, the Mac takes ages to calculate the remaining time and then gives estimates like 3 hours for 1GB, advancing some MBs every once and then and (apparently) doing nothing inbetween. It also takes very long to cancel the transfer, should I tell it to do so by clicking the tiny X on the file transfer window.
I tried pinging the Windows machine and I get around 0.35ms, so that looks normal to me.
Any idea about what's gone bogus and why? Or maybe some more tests I could run?
Thanks in advance!
