Bought the AEBS so that when the new MBP turns up in 2011, I can take advantage of 5GHz N wifi and Time Machine backups however I am planning how to setup the network and had a few questions. Hopefully someone else has a similiar setup and can provide some tips

Now for the questions...

1) If the AEBS is running in bridged mode with an existing 100Mb router, will the AEBS back down to 100Mbs speeds, despite the devices that I wish to move / stream files from are on the AEBS RJ45 ports instead of the existing 100Mbs router ports? (Something I also have not mentioned is that the old WinXP Laptop is only a 100Mb RJ45 connection and is also connected to the AEBS. I am not sure if the AEBS goes to the lowest common denominator or can interleave 100Mbs packets with 1Gb packets over the LAN.

2) Assuming the above configuration means I get to only 100Mbs, how can I configure an existing ADSL router (which I will be moving to a Cable modem soon) so that any AEBS connected devices

3) I have a WD My Book NAS Edition which was accessible to my iPad app, FileBrowser, when connected directly to my old wireless router (SKY Netgear DG834T). I realise that I had NetBios enabled (why it was required or the basic of Netbios, I have not read up on) however I am now not able to connect to the NAS. The NAS is connected directly to the AEBS, and not the existing router, with a reserved IP on the AEBS for that device's MAC.

The endgame for me is to have the AEBS with a USB drive out the back for TM backups and any other pieces I need, with a gigabit NAS drive attached via RJ45. Then I will have my iPhones connected over 2.4GHz G with the iPad and, when purchased, MBP on the 5Ghz N connection.

Apologies for the first post being so long, I am almost ready to pull the trigger on moving away from Microsoft. The only part holding me back is when the new MBP arrives as I do not really need a new PC just yet. Whilst SJ has not announced the new MBP's I would like to setup my network around the AEBS acting as the hub for all my storage / backup and configured so that it takes advantage of the 1Gb connection, where possible.

Thanks for looking:)
