.Mac sync not working!

I have just bought .Mac today and have enabled synching - so why, when I ask it to sync, does it not?

None of my contacts appear in the web address book, for example, despite them being present on my Mac and me having enabled them to sync.

I'm running Leopard 10.5.3.

Any ideas?

I'm sure there will be inconsistencies with their service until MobileMe is fully up and running.
