Mac Terminal reopens with all tabs in Lion

Hello,

If I close terminal with 6 frozen tabs, the next time I reopen it, it opens 6 tabs. They all are at the same default dir for my local user.

This takes a long time, probably because it loads my log files, which I prefer to keep. I have dug through the preferences, but can't find a way to specify behavior that opens with only one tab.

Any suggestions?

What you describe is the default behaviour in Lion. If you don't like that, one solution would be for you to close the Terminal window before quitting Terminal.
