i have been using mac the ripper without issue for quite a while now until last night when i went to rip "Curse of the Golden Flower" and i got an error message that said something like "cannot read disc image/ISO" or "cant understand dvd language" the dvd was in shrink wrap before i loaded it into my machine for ripping so it is not scratched. any idea as to why this is happening?

EDIT: Here is a screenshot of the dialogue box

Which version of MTR is it?

im guessing its the 2.6.6 PPC version? not many have the intel version ;)

Yea and I can see the 2.6.6 from the screenshot (I'm so blind)

I recommend you upgrade to the 3.14 version, and it is kind of a hassle to do. I leave you to do that on your own, but many of the newer dvd's have new protections that the old version of MTR bombs on.

I wish the 3.14 upgrade was 'easy'. Do some searching.

I think there are other alternatives as well.
