im using this combo to try to decrypt and burn a dvd...i can watch it on my comp as an mp4 file, but every time i try to burn it using toast9 i get media level sense errors. and i have no probs with dual layer dvd data discs, ne advice?

Have you tried Popcorn? It's so much better at handling video rips.
 
I believe Toast 9 has Popcorn features built into it similar to Toast 8. I can tell you that I use MTR>DVD2oneX>Toast 8 to burn. I do this because I compress my dvds however from your post I'm going to assume that you keep them as large as possible, yes? If so have you tried different media, such as a different brand? What type of errors are you getting?
