I have a mac connected wirelessly to an airport, and a PC with XP connected by cable to the airport.

The PC is my media center and I would like to be able to transfer files to it.
Question is, how?

Copy the files into the Public folder on your Mac, under your user folder.

From the XP machine, click Start, and then Run. Type the following:

\\w.x.y.z

where w.x.y.z is the IP address of your Mac. Hit enter. You should see shared folders on your Mac.

Before you begin: Turn on SMB sharing on your Mac in System Preferences under sharing. System Preferences > Sharing > File Sharing > Options > SMB. And check your user name. When you select File Sharing you'll see your IP address over to the right.

There are other ways to share the files, this one is relatively straight-forward.
