I like the .mac service and was thinking of subscribing.

I still have about 45 days left on my trial subscription and was wondering if I were to purchase the subscription this Friday (historically about 30% off the regular price on Black Friday) would I loose out on the remaining month I have on the trial or do they add it to my newly purchased 12 month membership.

All you really get in a .Mac box is an activation code and two Apple stickers.

It isn't as though the Apple Store is going to register it for you.

If you enter the code before your trial is up, you will lose the trial period you have remaining, because your account will be converted to a full one with more disk space.

If you want to take the free trial, just wait until it expires before entering your .Mac code.

Great, that is exactly what I thought and exactly the answer I was looking for.
I just didnt want to have to go to the store and fight through all the crazy black friday shoppers to physically pick up the box.
I guess it is better to just pay and get the upgraded dick space (but then again... ... apple stickers... hmmmm...)

Dammit I'm never subscribing online again. I want the stickers!

Seriously, though, .Mac is definitely worth it. I use it as my primary e-mail now, and I love it. :)
