Hi,

all, I'm new here and have a question that beats me.

I have the Watch 5 an iOS 6.0.1 and trying to do this:

"MAC UNLOCKING
When using Apple Watch with a Mac, there's now an option to approve security prompts by tapping on the side button of the watch when prompted by the Mac"
as described in the review here at MacRumors, but nothing happening when clicking the button when prompted for security prompts.

My computer is a Mac Pro late 2013 and running macOS 10.4.6

Can't find any settings for this to work on either the Watch or the Mac.

What am I doing wrong?

10.4.6 is from 2005 and iOS 6.0.1 is from 2012. They don't support this feature. Now, assuming you meant watchOS 6 and macOS 10.14.6;

I am not sure if the Mac Pro 2013 actually has the bluetooth version required for this feature.
If it does however, the Setting is here:

Ok, typo: macOS 10.14.6 and watchOS 6.01, that is the latest there are, today at least :)

Thanks but not what I'm asking for, logging in on my Mac has been possible since the first Watch.

"When using Apple Watch with a Mac, there's now an option to approve security prompts by tapping on the side button of the watch when prompted by the Mac", for example when going to the Preferences or Settings and unlock locked ones to be able to change some settings for the Mac and ofc other ones like installing non Appstore Apps etc..

it works on macs from mid-2013 onward,

so yours should work

Still not what I'm asking for, read above thanks. And as info, logging in with Watch works on my MBPr 2012 as well.

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding;

This feature requires macOS Catalina. AFAIK
