My iMac M1 (latest Sequoia) suddenly started to behave weirdly:
1. I could only log in via the accessibility keyboard.
2. When trying to log in with the normal keyboard, the right half of it did not work anymore. If I connected it to a different mac, it worked fine.
3. I could not introduce a new fingerprint (after 'push the on/off button twice rapidly' I kept getting this same message).
4. When typing the name of a new album in Photos, the letters appeared in reverse: John became nhoJ.
I tried everything, including a new system. Nothing worked, so now I deleted the whole Mac and started all over again. THat worked.
Stupidly enough I did not think of running antivirus software, but in thirty Mac years, I only had a virus once. Does anyone recognise this as a virus?
