Okay, I think the .mac web galleries just rock, but the iWeb photo pages have some nice features as well. I kind of wish that they existed more cohesively. Below are the features I wish Apple would merge into one feature rich web gallery solution that could be accessed in both iPhoto and iWeb.
.mac web galleries favorite features
- just plain gorgeous
- easy iPhoto integration
- upload photos from iPhone on the go
- guests can upload photos to my albums which sync back to my iPhoto
- guests have the option to download the entire album as a zip file
iWeb photo galleries favorite features
- guests can leave comments
- I can post a brief description of each album
- can setup different sites (ie. one for business, one for home - whereas there is just one global .mac photo gallery)
- guests can download the full quality image (not merely a Large version as in .mac)
And then I'd love to see some sort of global RSS feature added so that guests could see when the entire site has been updated, rather than just one album on the site.
That's it, my ideal web gallery solution from Apple. One day...
