I have a power book G4 running OS X 10.4.11 started a new job they want me to use a Dell I want to keep my mac but I can not print to the network printer.(LAN windows network on cat5)
I have downloaded latest driver, set the IP address and exhausted all of my ideas. The printer is Xerox Fuji Docuprint c525a. When I set IP address it found and listed the printer so the computer recognised the printer. I can ping the printer so it is there and they see each other. I can even look at supply levels. When I send a print job I get the following message "Network host '192.168.0.98 is busy; will retry in 30 seconds..." and nothing else ever happens. Other info in System Print&Fax NAME: 192.168.0.98 Location: LIGHT Kind: FX Docuprint C525A-APv1.2 Status: Idle I put in the address the other information was automatically filled in.
Advice and suggestions appreciated as I do not want to go back to a windows machine. Am considering OS upgrade to Leopard will this help?
