Or another way to put it, not smartphone.
I have a brace of smartphones, and I want a regular old mobile phone with buttons for numbers and not shaped/sized like a brick / ciabatta.
I'm in the UK. I'm inbetween contracts on all of my accounts right now so will be buying SIM-free, so I would imagine I have a better choice than going to a carrier. I have voice/data accounts with nearly all of the major UK carriers - Vodafone, O2, T-mobile and Orange. The phone is expected to work with all of those networks, as well as all major carriers that roam from those networks in Europe and the Middle East.
Maximum budget: £600 (SIM-free, remember). However, the cheaper the better as long as I get what I want.
What I want from it:
Size (lack of, especially thickness)
Weight (lack of)
Radio / firmware / hardware reliability
Compatible with bluetooth and wired mono headsets
Mac/Win contact sync with iSync / Outlook via Bluetooth
GPRS modem via Bluetooth
Ideally UMTS/3G data modem via Bluetooth
Don't need MP3 playback / radio. I have separate players which are better suited to doing that. I'll take a camera if it doesn't compromise anything else, it's not important however.
My recent Nokia purchases - all smartphones - have been pretty rubbish. Not really used Samsungs / LGs, but am familiar with the workings of some recent Sony Ericssons and think that's OK.
