Mac won't boot up

Hi

I wonder if someone can help me. I can't get my ibook G4 to boot up. It either gets stuck at the grey apple screen or goes through to a blue screen. I have tried to boot up in safe mode and from the CD but no luck. I know my hard drive has probably failes - just thought i would check here first to see if anyone ha any suggestions?!

If your hard drive fails you usually get a little question mark and a hard drive icon on screen, so its probably worse than your hard drive i'm afraid

Have you tried removing peripherals, changing the ram around/ removing ram?

If it doesn't even boot up from CD, you may have a hardware issue.
