I want to partition my MacBook pro with windows 7 home premium.
When i insert the disc i can hear the drive trying to read it but after a while a message appears saying i have inserted a blank disc. I really don't know what could be the problem. I bought windows from amazon and in the reviews people have used it successfully on their Macs so it is the right version.

OS X 10.8.2
2.66 GHz
8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Bad drive or bad disc. Try it in another computer?

I'll bet your drive is bad, have you used that drive for anything else in the past x months?

Hi, only just seen your reply. I took it to apple in the end and they confirmed it was a dodgy dvd drive. Thanks anyway :)

Next time, if this happens again. Use another Computer. If the Disc works in another computer and not in your Laptop, then you know for sure its the Drive. But, if the Disc can't read in 2 Computers. Possibly the disc.
