My internet service was down earlier today and when my ISP restored service, I haven't been able to print anything on my Canon MX922 or get my router to work. I turned on my router and disabled LAN on my printer so it doesn't think I have a router. I kept getting an Error Code 300. I deleted the existing Canon driver, went on Canon's website to download it again, but when I clicked on the + sign in the printer section of system preferences, nothing comes up under Default or Windows, and when I entered something in the search section under Default nothing responded to my search for a Canon driver.

I then went to the IP section of System Preferences--Printer and either under Internet Printing Protocol or Line Printer Daemon (can't remember which) I was able to add the Gutenprint driver for my Mac. This time I didn't get the Error 300 Code, but the printer didn't respond. I then created a driver based on my IP address and the same thing happened--no error code, but printer never responded.

I have tried unplugging and plugging back in both the printer's power cable and the USB cable, but that has no effect.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get my printer to respond to the driver.

I am running Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7

Also, after each driver was installed, it does not recognize the ink supply levels under supply levels in system preferences, unlike with the Canon driver before the ISP outage.

I re-connected the router and connected it to the printer and the Canon driver automatically appeared when went to print a document and now everything is working normally. I hope this helps someone.
