Hey Everyone,
The problem I am having is that the mac starts and gets to the apple with the spinning gear and stays there forever. What happened previous was I was in the windows partition and was writing files to the mac side and Windows BSOD'd. Since then the mac side will not start, the only thing I was changing were music files on the mac side. However, I have tried booting with the OS X CD to do disk utility. It came back with an error saying it could not be completed. It says there is an invalid key, and once it starts to rebuild trees it gives me an error. Then I tried using terminal to do fsck_hfs -r, however this came back with the same error that the disk could not be repaired.
I am thinking I may have to format and reinstall OS X. However on the windows side I am using Bootcamp 3.0 and I am able to read all the files on the drive fine. I can copy files from it over to my windows side etc. So I am assuming it is a software problem.
Does anyone know any solutions I can try without having to format?
Thanks so much.
**using Windows 7 RC... hope not as many BSOD's with retail
