I have a MAC (OSX 10.8), a PC and an Epson WF 3520 printer all in the same outbuilding, all connected to a Devolo Wireless Range Extender (the main wifi router is in another building). Printing from the PC to the printer works fine, but when I try to print from the MAC it won't wake up the printer. I CAN print from the MAC if the printer has recently been woken up by the PC, but a print job on the MAC will not wake up the printer.
The MAC is able to ping the printer (it has an IP address of 192.168.0.9, and the MAC has an IP address of 192.168.0.7), so clearly there is basic network connectivity between the two.
Things tried so far:
- Downloaded and installed Apple software update for the Epson
- Deleted and re-installed the printer to use Airprint instead of the default Epson driver (both options are offered when adding the printer to the MAC).
Neither of the above seemed to work.
Any ideas?
