I need a new power supply for my older non-clamshell G3 ibook and I really would rather avoid spending $70+ for a new one from apple. I saw this MacAlly unit for cheaper and I was wondering if anybody had any expirience with it?

I don't know, but for $35, it sure seems worth the risk. I had to replace the PS for my powerbook a couple years ago, and I think it was over $100. Apple power supplies aren't so reliable that it's worth spending twice as much on them....

Just make sure the wattage matches your old G3. I bought a $35 adapter from OWC and it's been awesome. Leave it at the desk and I take my Apple one with me while traveling so I don't have to mess with unplugging anything from the strip.
