So this weekend I decided to recable my office. Over the last few years my cabling had gotten out of control with new additions and old subtractions.

I unplugged everything, re-evaluated what was needed or could be discarded, then plugged everything back in. Routed it all so its nice an tidy. Tied everything together with velcro ties. Lovely. So much neater.

However this morning I turn everything on to start work and the keyboard does not work. The green power light top right flashed when a key is pressed, but is otherwise off.

I've tried plugging into different USB ports to no avail. Other peripherals on the USB bus work just fine.

What could I have done to the keyboard? Is there a reset function? Is it doomed to be landfill?

Try on a different computer. If it still doesn't work, then your options are to trace down the fault (frayed cable, cold solder joint, etc.) up to the time it's worth to you, or decide that you've used up the value of the keyboard and look forward to replacing it.
