It actually covers all of those areas. The pictures they have up are from the iPad 2 version if you look at the pics for the iPad 3rd gen version you'll see that it is all covered in the updated version. I don't know why they don't update the pics on their website.

The cover isn't detachable, unfortunately.
 
I ordered the Magcover and sent it right back. I can't even describe the material they call "faux leather" and it's not nearly as nice as the Poetic Hardback, which is less the price.

That's kind of dumb on their part. Thanks for the info though. I would like to see a video review of the Joy Smartsuit.
