So, I just purchased the bluetooth macally junior mouse. The mouse seems to be very jumpy and the speed is incredibly fast. If set to the second lowest it's way too jumpy and fast and the slowest setting is too slow. I've tried resetting the mouse etc but nothing has worked. I'm using it on a very smooth surface. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

it's a non-trackball mouse, I thought that there is no need for a mousepad with them. Am I wrong?

Have you tried the other mouse to see how it behaves on your desk surface? I found the BT mouse tends to be less accurate in terms of tracking capabilities (at least the one I have which is Logitech MX 900).

I would recomend you get a mouse pad. I thought my mx900 did the same thing, but I got a mouse pad and now it works perfectly.

I have this mouse, and that behavior suggests it doesn't like the surface it is on OR the battery is running low... so try the new surface first, then try fresh batteries.
