Macantosh HD not showing up in finder (Devices)

Hi Everyone,
I know there was several posts about getting the HD back into my finder devices but I am having a big problem because I am very confused on how to use the Terminal. If someone can please give me step by step instructions I would gladly appreciate it.

Try this in "Finder Preferences" before messing around with Teminal..

Yes I did already try that and the HD box is checked in.
