I am having issues with my macbook pro a1286. Whenever I stop using it for awhile it will not power on, only after a few days left plugged in.

- I have tried PRAM reset and SMC reset
- changed the magsafe with a brand new one
- apple hardware test passed twice!
- battery charges fine.

This model has the dual chip nvidia GPU. Had anyone experienced this before?

It might be the PRAM battery, but I can not check because there are more than 1 A1286's, the oldest model is a 2008 model.

What does the (Normal) Battery read, what I mean by this is, is it reporting to replace or not.
You can also check this in System Profiler.
