Hello,
I'm having the problem that my Macbook Pro "freezes" when I put it into my HengeDock. This issue started to happen since I've put a second harddrive into the notebook via an Optibay Adapter.
This is the scenario:
- I put the laptop to standby by closing the lid
- Connect it to the HengeDock
- External Display won't show anything
- I remove the notebook from the dock and can see that the notebook is running, but nothing on the screen appears. When I try to play something on iTunes via the keyboard shortcuts, nothing happens, which I assume is because the laptop got stuck somehow.
- I restart the notebook by pressing a few seconds on the power off button and when it boots back there is an error about Mac OS X crashed somehow..
This happens about 50-70% of the time.
Any ideas how to fix it (except for removing the Optibay)?
Thanks a lot.
Cheers
EDIT:
Just as a note, I've already activated the old school hibernation mode via "pmset -a hibernatemode 0", but the problem still exists. When I don't close the lid, my external monitor works fine.
