I would like to know if i should update my Macbook 1,1 (1.83ghz, 2gb ram, 150gb HD) to Osx lion. It's currently running 10.5.8 leopard and its fast non sluggish running. Will upgrading to osx lion make my computer run sluggish? make it lag? run slower? i want it running as snappy as it is now (just as fast as the day i fresh installed leopard with the new hd and 2gb ram upgrades).

So should i upgrade to osx lion? or should i only go up to snow leopard?

MacBook 1,1 is only Core Duo, you can't upgrade to Lion as it requires at least a Core 2 Duo. :/ (64bit)

Snow leopard should run very nicely on it though.

Your computer isn't supported by Lion (Core2Duo minimum). I'd go with Snow Leopard.
