I have one of the first produced macbooks.

Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 2 MB
Memory: 512 MB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MB11.0061.B03
SMC Version: 1.4f12
Serial Number: 4H62545YU9B
Sudden Motion Sensor:
State: Enabled

I installed new leopard and it runs super slow. I was wondering if it is harmful to install 2x2gb owc5300 sticks. I run Reason 3.0 and its a huge task for this computer. As well as running photoshop by itself, its just too slow! Please help and let me know if it's possible. My brother purchased me these ram sticks as a gift and I want to put them to use.

I've read and it will only use 2gb. So could I use just one stick of 2gb? Leave the other slot empty? Or could I use both and It will only recognize 2gb? OR have it recognize 4 gb and only use 3.3 to 3.3 gb? Im so confused!

Also I dont want my system to crash and end up with a non working macbook C1D.
