i am try ing to figure out what is wrong with a friends Macbook 13" aluminum running 10.6.4

any key press on either the laptop keyboard or an external is causing Finder to crash. i have tried a PRAM reset, running repair permissions both within the OS as well as with the Snow Leopard disc. the mouse has no problems at all.

the only thing he can think of that was going on when this started happening was the last batch of software updates he was installing and when he started it he had forgotten it was installing a bunch of stuff since he rarely checks it and right after it started he closed the lid on his macbook. not sure how or why that would have caused this but just a guess.

i checked for software updates and it claims to be up to date.

the updates that were installed when this happened were:
iWork Update 4
iWeb Update
SL Graphics Update
Security Update 2010-005
Safari 5.0.2
iTunes 10

any help would be greatly appreciated.

here is the console log.

thanks
