Hey Doc: You are being Zapped with a slight electrical current. This is a common occurrence with metal chassied Apple laptops - especially if you are someplace with 240V power. If you switch to a grounded power brick, then this won't be a problem.

Actually it was the original Apple UK three pin power adapter I used

That's a remarkable coincidence to have "zap" in your handle!

Never noticed this vibration before with either 13 inch MBPro (2015 model) and MacBook Air 13 inch 2015 model
Why with the 12 inch MacBook am I noticing it as I only use the 3 pin (UK) earthed power adapter for charging ??

i'm in 220V country and I get this, my charger is US so it doesn't have a ground? Or something, you can notice it A LOT. I don't think it's bad though . I suffer from heart issues and so far I'm ok.

Thanks the one I have is UK 3 pin and 240 Volts - any idea what’s up ?

It could be that your charger is not properly grounded? I read something about plastic bits in the prongs preventing the macbook from grounding. Is your home connection properly grounded?

The default charger isn’t earthed. You need the extension cable to be earthed. It’s normal and happens with all unearthed metal devices.
