Thanks for all the advice!

My gaming needs would be slim, and sound is not a big factor, though it would be nice...

The main issue is that I'm probably leaving the country next Friday, and want to fill up my new nano! (perhaps a foolish buy as I see the iPhone is due out soon)

**If announcements are made Monday, how long will it take for apple stores to catch up?

**If new software/hardware is offered - will prices actually go up, or will the stuff be bundled for free?

Thanks,

Mike

I'm hoping you accidently pressed ¨new thread¨ instead of ¨post reply¨.

Sometimes Apple will have products ready (both online and in store) as soon as they are announced. Other times (like the 2G Shuffle) they will announce a date they'll ship.

Hardware changes normally keep the price the same. The new units will go on sale in the store and the old ones will be moved to the refurbished store and the prices cut.

If it's purely a software change, they'll sometimes just bundle extra discs with the items (like OS upgrade discs).
