MacBook 13" going VERY slow?

I have the lower-end MBP, and I've noticed it going very slow. I know it's the lower-end model, but I don't think it should be doing this.

I'll be visiting a simple web page and when I click on something, it will freeze and that little rainbow spinning thing will pop up. Sometimes I'll even click on a link, and it won't direct me to the page (the white hand with the pointer won't even pop up when I go over the link with the mouse) and it will just freeze and then the page will load.

What could be wrong?
 
I bought one recently, and realized it slow. I believe that HD is the same. Vertex bought an OCZ SSD for him
