Is it true that the i7 goes much more warm and noisy than the i5???
 
Well... theoretically yes, but probably not in real-world use. I am assuming that the i7 can scale to needs better than the i5. So at max-capacity, the i7 will run hotter than the i5, but then again, you need to do very intense stuff to reach the maximum capacity of the i7.

I don't think there would be much of a difference.
